Specialist clinic · PostpartumComing soon

Postpartum & recovery.

For nine months you are closely monitored — and after birth, care shrinks to a single final check. Yet an enormous amount happens in the first year: pelvic floor, hormones, mood, sleep, iron stores, return to sport. We are planning a structured postpartum clinic that stays with you beyond the 6-week check. Register below if this interests you.

1 visit
standard care · after birth

Statutory aftercare essentially consists of one final examination around 6–8 weeks after birth. After that, you are largely on your own.

mothers · experience postpartum depression

Low mood after birth is common — and treatable. Talking about it is strength, not weakness.

9 months
statutory window · for postnatal recovery

Up to the end of the ninth month, statutory insurers cover a midwife-led recovery course — our in-house course is closely linked to this clinic.

What we are planning

What we are planning.

A structured roadmap for the first year after birth — instead of a single check:

1
Extended postnatal check

Beyond the standard: wound healing, pelvic floor status, bleeding, breastfeeding situation — with time for everything on your mind.

2
Pelvic floor & diastasis recti

Structured examination of pelvic floor and abdominal wall, clear guidance for recovery training and return to sport — linked to our in-house postnatal course.

3
Hormones, mood & sleep

Low mood, exhaustion, cycle questions while breastfeeding: we listen, rule out physical causes and refer quickly where needed.

4
Lab work & iron stores

Birth and breastfeeding drain reserves. Where needed we check iron, thyroid and vitamin D — and replenish in a targeted way.

Much of this is regular statutory care; some extended checks will be self-pay. All costs will be published transparently at launch.

FAQ

What you should know.

Isn’t the normal final check enough?

For many women yes — for many others, no. Pelvic floor problems, low mood or exhaustion often only show weeks to months later, when standard care has long ended. That is exactly the gap this clinic is meant to close.

How does this relate to the postnatal course?

The midwife-led recovery course runs in our practice and is covered by statutory insurance. The clinic complements it medically: examination, findings, individual clearance for training and sport.

Can I bring my baby?

Of course. We plan appointments so that feeding, changing and baby breaks have room.
