Screening that reassurance gives — not fear.

Yearly. Careful. Unhurried. Your check-up covers the cervix, breast and pelvis — classic cancer screening is part of it. As statutory screening is expected to be scaled back from 2027, you can add targeted ultrasound with us: voluntary, transparent, no drama.

What do you get, and when?

Screening follows your life, nicht andersrum.

The statutory programme is structured by life stage. Tap your age — and you’ll see what you’re currently entitled to and what we offer in addition.

What early detection changes

Ein point in time entscheidet sehr viel.

The earlier, the better — and that’s measurable.

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in women, but also one with the best prospects of recovery — provided it’s found early. In stage I, with small, locally confined tumours, the 5-year survival rate is almost normal.

With more advanced stages the outlook declines. That’s exactly why we recommend yearly screening — not just when something hurts. Many things grow quietly and only become noticeable late.

54 %
go yearly

Nur etwa one in two women attends screening regularly.

Among 20- to 34-year-olds, uptake of gynaecological screening was recently around 54 percent — among 35- to 65-year-olds, 44 percent. That means almost half miss the yearly check.

We don’t see this as a reproach, but as a gap we can close together. Appointments with us are predictable and calmly paced — no stopwatch medicine.

conversation

How are you? Has anything changed? We take time to hear your story — before we examine.

History

Cervix

Pap smear from 20, from 35 supplemented by the HPV test every three years. Early changes are usually very treatable today.

Co-testing

Breast

Inspection and palpation from 30. Additional breast ultrasound on request — especially useful with dense breast tissue.

Palpation & ultrasound

Uterus & ovaries

Vaginal ultrasound complements the palpation exam. Useful with symptoms, a risk profile or simply for more reassurance.

Im Detail: What happens if a finding stands out?

In the knowledge section you’ll find the companion article — with every question patients regularly ask us, and honest answers.

Read the article
How often should I come?
Ages 20–34: yearly Pap test plus palpation. From 35: every 3 years a Pap test combined with an HPV test. Breast ultrasound can be useful yearly, especially with dense breast tissue.
Statutory cover vs. add-on services
BASIC (0 €, Kassenleistung): Pap-Test plus Tastuntersuchung. EXTENDED (from €50 own contribution): plus one ultrasound (vaginal or breast). COMPLETE (€120): both ultrasounds plus a consultation. Bookable online.
How a screening works
A history-taking conversation about symptoms and background, palpation and inspection, a Pap smear of the cervix, optionally an additional ultrasound, and a discussion of the findings. We take time for your questions.
When is an additional ultrasound useful?
Vaginal ultrasound: useful for assessing the uterus and ovaries, especially with cycle-related symptoms. Breast ultrasound: can be useful yearly, especially with dense breast tissue — where mammography sees less well.
What to do with an abnormal finding?
A repeat in 3–6 months or, where needed, further diagnostics such as colposcopy or biopsy. We discuss the result calmly and plan the next steps together. A referral to hospital if necessary.
Costs & process

Transparent, no small print.

The additional ultrasound is an individual health service (IGeL) — a self-pay service at your request. Here you can see in advance what it costs and how billing works.

Vaginal ultrasound currently 50 €
Breast ultrasound currently 70 €
Combination (both ultrasounds) currently 120 €

All prices are current self-pay prices — subject to change. The binding figure is the individual cost estimate under the GOÄ fee schedule.

Billing under the GOÄ

Billing follows the German scale of medical fees (GOÄ), which is currently being revised. You receive a written cost estimate in advance and afterwards a proper invoice with all individual items.

Payment

Conveniently by credit card directly when booking online — or alternatively by debit card right before the appointment with our reception team.

Voluntary & no pressure

This service is voluntary. There’s no time pressure, and your care as a statutory patient is unaffected. One of our doctors will always explain the benefits, limits and costs to you personally.

Not a statutory benefit

This service is not part of the statutory health insurance catalogue; there is no entitlement to reimbursement from statutory insurance. What are IGeL services? →

The additional ultrasound is a voluntary IGeL service — with no disadvantage if you decline. On request you can add it directly to your screening appointment.
