When should I come for fertility advice?
Unter 35: nach ca. 12 Monaten erfolgloser Versuche. Ab 35: after just 6 months. With cycle irregularities or known risk factors: any time, even earlier.
What does it cost in total?
150 € initial consultation (Anamnese, Vaginal-Ultraschall, Empfehlung). Plus ggf. 80–150 € Labor for hormone values. In total €230–300 for the whole initial package. Private insurers usually reimburse.
What happens in the initial consultation?
Zyklus-Anamnese, Lebensstil-Faktoren, Vorgeschichte, Vaginal-Ultraschall (Eierstöcke, Gebärmutter), Labor-Empfehlung. Bei Bedarf Überweisung an Kinderwunsch-Klinik in Konstanz oder Singen.
Sollte ich AMH messen lassen?
Not as a blanket test. AMH (“anti-Müllerian hormone”) says something about the egg reserve, but little about actual fertility. Useful for specific questions: over 35, a long wait, before an IVF decision.
